frequently asked questions

What is Bilona Ghee, and why is it special?

Bilona Ghee is a traditionally made ghee that starts with curd and not cream. At Oofy, we follow the ancient Bilona method, where milk is first turned into curd and then churned into butter, and then slow-cooked to make golden, aromatic ghee.

This slow, mindful process retains nutrients, enhances digestion, and gives Oofy Ghee its rich flavor and grainy texture. Unlike industrial ghee, ours is made in small batches without shortcuts—just like grandma would.

How is Oofy different from other organic brands?

Our farms have been pesticides and chemical free for over a decade now. Starting from the food that our cows eat to give you milk and ghee to the food that we deliver to all our customers, there are no traces of chemicals.

Do you sell milk?

We get this question a lot and we love that people ask!

Yes, Oofy does offer fresh, cruelty-free milk, but only in Gondal (our hometown). Why? Because we believe in keeping it 100% natural, and that means no preservatives, no additives, and no processing to extend shelf life.

Since fresh milk is highly perishable, we currently deliver it only where we can guarantee farm-to-home freshness without compromising our values.

Does Oofy Honey contain added sugar or flavoring?

Never. Oofy Honey is raw, unprocessed, and 100% natural. We don't heat, blend, or tamper with nature’s recipe so you get all the natural enzymes, antioxidants, and nutrients intact.

Is your dairy cruelty-free?

Yes! Our dairy comes from happy, stress-free cows that are well-fed, loved, and never injected with hormones. We follow an Ahimsa-based model because kindness belongs in every part of our food system.

Is your ghee safe for heart patients?

Oofy’s Bilona Ghee is made the traditional way from curd, not cream, and is packed with healthy fats, omega-3s, and essential vitamins. When consumed in moderation, pure desi ghee like ours can support heart health by aiding digestion, reducing inflammation, and providing good cholesterol (HDL).

However, if you're a heart patient or have dietary restrictions, we always recommend consulting your doctor or a certified nutritionist before making any changes to your diet.
